Returns and Cancellation Policy

Please note that our products are handwoven, and as such, we typically have one of each kind in stock. Additionally, due to the delicate nature of our fabrics and weaves, each garment requires careful handling. For this reason, we are only able to offer cancellations, returns, or exchanges in exceptional circumstances.

Cancellations

You may cancel your order before it has been shipped, provided that no tassels and/or fall pico services have been added upon your request. Upon cancellation, you will receive a credit for the amount paid, which can be used for any future purchases on our website.

If you prefer a refund instead of store credit, please note that any applicable bank or payment gateway processing charges will be deducted from the refund amount.

• Only unstitched garments (saris, stoles, and dupattas) are eligible for cancellation.
• Orders for fabrics and apparel/garments cannot be cancelled or returned.

Returns

Returns will only be accepted under the following conditions:

1. Manufacturing defect or dispatch of the incorrect item.
2. Please note that minor colour variations between the product photo on our website and the actual product may occur due to factors like lighting, photo angle, and fabric nature. These slight differences are not grounds for a return.
3. Returns      due to issues with additional services like fall or tassels will not      be accepted.
4. Apparel, garments, and fabrics are non-returnable.

To initiate a return:

1. You must send a return request via email to handloom@madeinbanaras within 48 hours of receiving your shipment. Returns requested after 48 hours of delivery are not eligible.
2. If you receive a parcel or packaging that appears tampered with, damaged, or unsealed, do not accept it. Contact us immediately at handloom@madeinbanaras or call +91 9519767788.

If your merchandise is damaged upon arrival, please email us a photo of the damaged packaging along with your return request, as outlined above.

Once your return request is received, we will review it and send you an authorization for return or exchange within 5 working days.

• Upon receiving the authorization, please return the product in its original, unused condition within 5 days of receiving the authorization.      Ensure that the product is returned with the original bill and intact tags.
• You may choose between a full refund (issued as store credit or a refund to the original payment method). In some cases, return shipping charges and a stocking fee may apply.
• We aim to process all returns within 7 working days of receiving the returned item. Please note that we cannot guarantee the time taken by your bank or payment provider for processing the refund.

Exchanges

Exchanges are only possible if:

1. No tassels or fall pico services have been added at your request.
2. You are responsible for any applicable customs duties for both the return shipment and the exchange item(s). Please be aware that incoming      shipments to India may incur high customs duty charges, which will be borne by the customer in the event of an exchange.
3. To  and fro shipping charges will apply for international exchanges.

Please note:

• Apparel made to order and cannot be exchanged.
• Fabrics are cut from full yardage and cannot be exchanged once the order is placed.
• Any product that has been opened, unfolded, or tried on is not eligible for exchange.

If we find that our exchange policy is being repeatedly misused, we reserve the right to refuse future exchange requests.
